Description
This Discover Your Major Visit Day is for students who are interested in Northwest and wish to learn more about areas in Applied Health Sciences. Programs of interest may include: Health and Physical Education, Foods & Nutrition, and Dietetics. The day includes interacting with current Northwest faculty and students. The event will highlight Northwest with a campus tour and information sessions.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Talk with the department faculty and students majoring in related fields
- Learn about careers in Applied Health Sciences
- Attend a high impact class
- Tour our classrooms and facilities, including the newly renovated Martindale Hall
- Explore the Northwest Campus
- Learn more about:
- Admissions
- Financial Assistance
- Campus Housing
- Student Life
Tentative agenda:
9:00 am: Check In
9:15 am: Admissions Presentation
10:00 am: Student Panel; Department Q&A
11:00 am: Students attend a class; Families/Guests in Financial Assistance Presentation
11:50 am: Facility tour with faculty
12:15 pm: Lunch
1:00 pm: Campus Walking Tour
2:30 pm: Wrap Up (meet with Financial Assistance, Advisor)

Individual academic or athletic appointments are not available during Discover Your Major visit days. If interested in scheduling an academic appointment, please refer to our Daily Visit. All athletic appointments will need to be set up with Northwest Athletics.
- Can I meet with someone about being a college athlete?
